Hello All, and welcome to the next installment of Making my Mark on the world. It has been awhile since I’ve last posted, and I can’t make any excuses. In this brief update, I will explain why that is.
For the most part, I have just been maintaining the status quo. According to economists and economic jargon, I remain underemployed in my scooping job. I have submitted some applications, but there has been little traction. I did reconnect with a friend from my MBA program, and that had some unexpected consequences (perhaps a story for another time). I have started going to fitness classes again and have enjoyed it. Further, I intend to tour an apartment complex today. I need to make a decision about my living situation in the coming week. My lease expires in about a month, and I feel ready to move into a studio apartment. The thought of being able to pick my own furniture and having more freedom to explore things such as cooking is intriguing to me. I would also love to get a dog or cat at some point. Anyhow, it has been a slow few weeks overall.
With all of that being said, this blog is about making my mark, and that requires going above and beyond the status quo. In the coming weeks, I will be creating certainty in my life. I will choose a living situation for the next 12 months; I will keep submitting job applications and hopefully find some traction. Furthermore, I will seek out more positive experiences. That is what has been lacking in my life, and increasing positive experiences and sharing those experiences and relevant insights for personal growth is a key component of this blog.
I wanted to provide this update to let all readers know that I am still on the journey to Make my Mark on the world. It has just been a slow few weeks. However, I am ready to reset and get back into action. As always, this blog is genuine. The lack of progress in the last few weeks reflects that. I will share my ups and downs, and although I try to share at least once a week, sometimes circumstances might prevent me from doing so.
As always, thank you for reading and I wish you all the best! In future posts I will be providing updates about my career and living situations, opening about my mental health and diagnoses, and sharing real personal development insights in the event that they might be useful to others.
